Zedicus

Zakki Jawad, a.k.a. Zedicus, is a reggae and world music artist based in the Washington DC area. Born in Ethiopia, Zakki spent several years living in different countries around the world before settling in North America.

His exposure to various international cultures and arts contributed to the broad range of styles and influences present on his eponymous solo album, described as ' ..World music laying on a bed of Reggae'.

Zakki is also a member of Admas, an Ethio-fusion group that produced the landmark album 'Indigo Sun' in the year 2000. An upcoming project from Admas is in the works, as is a second solo Zedicus album, slated for release in 2021.
