The musical tunes of lasta sound soothe the soul and stir the feet. This group worked diligently to refine its work and ultimately create unique, new age world music fusing old traditional arrangements with western beats. The formation of the group with Tsegaye as front man, Kirubel writing, arranging, playing bass and producing with Teferi on drums and percussion. Lasta sound was featured on the award winning movie Journey to lasta. The self-titled album is one of Ethiopia’s unique sounds.
